La Vida Belize

La Vida Casita, a delightful beachfront cabana, sits just steps from the Caribbean Sea on the Placencia Peninsula. This cozy casita is an ideal escape for friends or romantic couples with a taste for adventure. We offer a perfect balance between easy access to Placencia Village and Maya Beach via a short golf cart or car ride while maintaining a serene distance from the bustling tourist spots, ensuring your private beach oasis awaits. The 450-square-foot casita is expertly crafted from Belizean hardwoods sourced from the Maya Mountains, located 20 miles west of our property. Innovative design features have been seamlessly integrated to enhance indoor and outdoor living experience. A fully furnished kitchenette awaits those wanting to create authentic Belizean dishes. The casita comfortably accommodates two guests with a queen bed, and a handcrafted futon can sleep a third person. For added comfort, air conditioning is available for those times when the trade winds may not keep you cool. With the Caribbean Sea just outside your French doors, your stay here promises a private and serene sanctuary, making your Belize trip truly exceptional. At La Vida Casita, we aim to ensure your experience meets your expectations. We provide complimentary access to a tandem kayak and bicycles. Right off our beach, you'll find impressive coral heads perfect for honing your snorkeling skills before venturing to the Cayes. Fishing enthusiasts will be delighted to find snapper, snook, jacks, grunts, and Spanish mackerel steps away from the front door, while tarpon and other species can be found across the road in the lagoon. There is a 75-foot pier right off the beach for fishing, swimming, snorkeling, or just soaking up the Caribbean sun. Our location is conveniently positioned, a brief 5-minute drive north of Maya Beach and just 30 minutes north of Placencia Village. Many tour operators offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off services at La Vida. We highly recommend our guests consider renting a car to explore the region or a golf cart for convenient exploration of the peninsula. Located in a neighborhood of private residences. A rental car is best for transportation. Golf carts are another option. Rental includes the entire Casita and access to the Casita's pool, beach, and pier. Please note: The beach consists of two lots and a pier. They are shared with our guests staying at the other rentals on the property. It is large enough for all to have their own private space. If you need extra space, the Casita can be booked alongside our Casa (sleeps up to 6) and/or Studio (sleeps 2), accommodating up to eleven guests for an even more memorable stay.

December 2024 4.00Gorgeous view and picture perfect grounds! We chose this place for privacy while celebrating our anniversary. The 1st day we had the entire grounds to ourself, exactly what we wanted. On the second day, the main house behind us rented & then the studio beside it rented also. only 3 parking spaces for all 3 rentals. It had a common area (bigger pool & grill) which we were unable to use do to the main house occupying it with all of their things left out EVERYWHERE & the grill was either being used or left too nasty for us to use. No oven, so we were unable to cook the special dinner that we had planned. This place is VERY small. ZERO drawers or places to unpack leaving us living out of our suitcases for the entire week. Making for terrible pictures of our stay there were way too many & huge sign above the kitchen sink saying NO SMOKING, cheap & tacky looking considering it stated it in our rental agreement.

December 2024 5.00We loved staying at the Casita! The view is beautiful. We saw plenty of cool birds, lizards, fish, and other wildlife all while we were on property. Loved having access to their E-bikes, which made for a fun trip to Maya Beach. We would definitely come back next time we visit!!

December 2024 5.00We had a wonderful 8 day stay at Brad's casita. Even with the trade winds and rain, it was a magical place, and once the sun came out - the snorkeling, kayaking and paddle boarding were perfect! We had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves at this gorgeous property. We weren't familiar with the area before we arrived, so finding the address in the dark was quite the task but once we did, it was everything that was promised in the airbnb listing. We would highly recommend renting a car to get around, as there are no Ubers, etc. You can rent one in Belize City and drive to La Vida Belize (the casita) for two hours, or hop on the Maya airlines and take a quick 25 minute flight. Golf carts are available for rent but would take at least 40+ minutes to get to the beach town of Placencia from the casita. In our car, it took about 20. Thanks Brad, Gaylyn and Lucas! It was perfect!
